Adobe updates Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and Media Encoder
Adobe has announced updates to Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and Media Encoder,
After Effects, Premiere, and Media Encoder now supports three additional formats:
Variable frame rate video with audio sync such as might be produced by screen capture software and mobile devices; footage captured using Arri Alexa Mini camera in MXF/ARRIRAW format;
and HEVC (H.265) footage in a QuickTime (.MOV) container produced by apple devices with iOS 11 or a DJI Phantom 4 drone.
After Effects also sees improvements to VR workflows including a more efficient cubemap layout that enables users to work with higher resolution VR footage with lower GPU overheads.
The Create VR Environment and Extract Cubemap tools now generate an intermediary cubemap in 3:2 format instead of 4:3 format to allow users to work on monoscopic 6K VR projects at
medium quality on GPUs with only 4GB of memory.
